If you are like me, you really love having exceptional experiences. They can be fun, meaningful, and memorable.
You can create an exceptional experience by making one that stands out. Think of those times as “elevated!” Let’s talk about birthdays. Birthdays can become hum drum with the same old cake and song. A great way to “elevate” a birthday is to add the element of surprise.
For example, my 14 year-old daughter and I carried off a big surprise for her mom’s birthday. It can be summarized easily by saying: At age 40, it seems that little Crysie had never had a birthday party at McDonalds before.
That night Crys walked right into McDonalds expecting the usual. She found instead some people that looked familiar. When she got fully into the restaurant she said, “I recognize all those people.” That unusual event and sea of familiar faces “elevated” this particular birthday.
It didn’t hurt that we served Happy Meals either!
